Hilary Knight at the Eric Carle Museum

Hilary Knight, who has illustrated more than fifty books for children including Kay Thompson’s Eloise appeared at the Eric Carle Museum for a special storytime program followed by a book signing. The event was to celebrate the 60th birthday of Eloise, declared by The New York Times as “one of the most recognizable characters in children’s literature!”

Mr. Knight has illustrated over fifty books, nine of which he also wrote. Besides books, his work has included note and greeting cards, children's fashion advertisings, illustrations for Cricket magazine, record album covers and posters for the Broadway musicals Half A Sixpence, Hallelujah Baby!, No, No Nanette, Irene, and Gypsy.
